UK Ancestral Research Services (UKARS) carries out genealogical research anywhere within the United Kingdom. If you have Irish ancestry please be aware that tracing Irish ancestry can be difficult as some Irish genealogical records were destroyed during the 1916 uprising and in the 1922 Civil war. We will attempt to trace any Irish lineage as far as it is practical to do so.

General

Genealogist for Hire

Due to the time available, our research will be concentrated solely on direct ancestors and their children and not the wider family i.e. all ancestors’ children and spouses and their parents and siblings etc. Should it be required, we can perform a more detailed research on any given line. All information is provided in good faith and is accurate to the best of our knowledge.

Our policy is to provide a professional approach to searching for your ancestors and to provide valid, corroborated evidence for our findings, while at the same time giving a level of personal service you would expect with something concerning your family. If uncertainties arise, as they tend to do from time to time in genealogical research, our policy is to always err on the side of caution and not make assumptions. Where any possible ambiguities manifest themselves, these will either not be included in the final presentation or included only after consultation with the client and his/her permission has been granted.
